Responsible for supporting the tire manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, fabrication, and repair of all rubber manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment.
Promotes safety and housekeeping throughout the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Use commonly used Machinist tools such as scrapers, chisels, files, and measuring instruments.
Safely operates all machinist tools including lathes, milling machines, planers, shapers, and specialized machines.
Apply shop mathematics, charts and tables, the efficient planning of shop work, the dimensions and uses of standard bolts, screws and threads.Familiar with working properties of metals.
Shapes metal parts to precise dimensions within tolerance.
Performs welding activities as required.
Operates power trucks for shop work.
Maintains equipment, hooks and spare parts in an orderly arrangement in work area.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and manufacturing specifications.
Operate CNC Machine.
Work with general crafts to calculate measurements required to assure proper fitment
High School diploma or GED required.
Must be able to work any shift. Shift hours are: 1st -- 7am to 3pm; 2nd -- 3pm to 11pm and 3rd -- 11pm to 7am.
Understanding and proficient in safe work practices including LOTO, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to stand/walk on concrete floors.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
Ability to do physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work at heights of 10 feet or greater.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to work on both a team and individual projects.
Ability to follow established safety policies.
Successful completion of a background and drug screen.
Successful completion of the pre-employment assessment.
Ability to perform job specific physical work capability exercises if applicable at the facility.
Satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
