About the Position:
This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by learning and applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems. The incumbent understands and can apply standard tools to improve customer satisfaction and process capability.
Responsibilities:
Utilize and apply understanding of suppliers and Customer requirements (internal and external) relevant to specific manufacturing processes
Protect relationships with Customers and drive improvements in Customer satisfaction; appropriately representing Goodyear
Improve and enhance known technical solutions to meet product and process requirements
Lead improvements and develop processes within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools
Track and report process performance indicators
Participate in Plant Optimization to deploy standards and to drive improvement.
Recognize and identify problems, achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs
Participate, influence , communicate and collaborate effectively within various teams to meet individual and business performance objectives
Complete assigned tasks on time and with appropriate quality to deliver results
Support the implementation of new products / processes / technologies, utilizing applicable Quality engineering tools
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Product and Process technical specifications to insure compliance with requirements
Audit for compliance and drive effective root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of relevant experience required
Experience:
2+ years of experience with degree, or 7+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
Demonstrated ability to apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques
Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment and process problems
Demonstrated ability to contribute toward team goals
